Peace out 2010

2010 has personally been one of my most memorable years. Just read an article that stated that healthy relationships are reliant upon personal growth. Thanks to my beautiful wife Elaine, I have learned to show my happiness by smiling for the first time in my life. Also, I have learned how to raise our dog Keiko, and dedicate my life to Christ. Thanks love

2010 highlights:
January:
1. Wedding!! Only two months to plan with over 300 guests. Located all the way in Tujunga and almost everyone showed up. It was a beautiful wedding. Thanks to family and friends that supported us during this stressful time. DJ Games and Ultraman on the 1's and 2's, Jason L. on the mic as mc, Jasmine performed during the ceremony, and Jason Black performed during the reception. Elaine looked her best, of course. I messed up reciting my marriage vowels, and we danced the night away.
2. Attended my second (1st w/ E) church retreat in Yucaipa. Coincidence that E had been to Yucaipa through another church (CI). God reassured us that we have cool brothers and sisters to guide us in our marriage.
March:  1. Helped to renovate a home for our pastor Tommy Nixon and his family in "Tokers town." Worked on painting a room and help with landscaping. Rachel and Tommy were surprised and thankful. They sacrificed their former comfortable neighborhood and home to move into a neighborhood where the devil has a stronghold. Such a dope couple.

3. Began my CSUDH night courses to renew my SP. Ed. credential. Classes every wed. night from 5-10. Ugh, but these will be my last set of classes ever.
April
1. Thailand honeymoon! Thanks to brother Jason, sister Jasmine, and sister Jewel for dropping/picking us up from/ to LAX. OMG, one of the best trips of my life. Elaine and I went to Bangkok, Phuket, Ko Phi Phi, and Kamala Bay. The weather was hot and humid, but people and food were great. During our stay, there was a Red Shirt protest in Bangkok. Luckily, we were able to leave Thailand without any complications. Word of advice- avoid the tourist traps, especially concierges and taxi cab drivers that get a cut for referrals.
2. NFL draft- At my buddy John Leary's beautiful condo in downtown LA as we witnessed the Chargers picking up Ryan Mathews (RB) from Fresno State in the first round.
3. Kim Hisa's graduation from Law School at Balboa Park.
May
1. Elaine and I saw Miss Saigon in San Gabriel
2. Strawberry Festival in Oxnard with Jewel, Jasmine, Jason, and E
3. UCLA jazz/raggae festival. Raphael Sadiq and Q tip
June
1. Deejayed Will Rogers Elementary School prom. E was in attendance, and we had a great time.
2. Jewel graduates from UCI
3. Last Methodology at 410 Boyd Street in LA. Fundraiser that raised over 15K for our Chinatown mentor mentee program. Place I deejayed for years, and met Elaine. Our pastor Tommy and church friends Rachel, Tommy, and Bethany were in attendance. We drank moderately and danced a lot! Praise God who is real, and just wants us to be real.
